June 4, 200719 yr Yay! I've been able to dynamically change which BGL files get used by FSX. This is done by changing the filenames in the filesystem filter when FSX wants to open the BGLs.When tileproxy is not running, it will see BGLs with landclass 254 ("transparent landclass"). I.e. you get default terrain. Once tileproxy is running and ENABLED, you will get photoreal terrain. Now on to program a "disable" switch ;)Now hypothetically speaking, if those BGLs weren't compressed, I could be changing default landclasses on the fly in my filesystem filter. Talk about landclass as you go ;) This could be a new online business model. Landclass subscription with frequent updates.Christian
June 4, 200719 yr Everytime I ask myself how it can get any better you keep coming back with something new. Keep it up man, your work is very much appreciated.
June 4, 200719 yr Is there a way of making these tiles a part of the FSX bgl. ??Wouldn't that make the terrain load much faster or better or ??
June 4, 200719 yr This is a nice development Christian. Also looks like identifying the tile within TP for autogen will be require after the link to IdentifyTile.exe was pulled. WOZ
