hi all, i would like some advice , i have a geforce2ti w6200, amd xp 1600 , 256mb pc133 sdram, would a geforce 4 ti 4200 be a good card for microsoft 2002 fs, has anybody seen the difference between them?i have been told that the radeon cards seem to need patches to make them work in 2002, thanks .

I did go myself from a GF2 to the GF4 ti4200 128MB (Chaintech). However I did a complete upgrade at the time so couldn't make a direct benchmark comparison. I would though recommend the card to you, good value for money and works well. Some drivers are better than others and you may need to try out one or two. You may want to look at getting yourself some more RAM when you are out. Won't improve your frame rate but it sure will make things smoother.Hope this helps,Markyboy.

the gf4 ti4200 is a nice card, have one myself. However you may be better of with the 9500 pro from radeon, Its in the same price range and is future proofed as it is dx9 compliant. It is just as fast if not more so, and the aa/af peformance is about 10 times better than the ti4200.The ati drivers have improved greatly in the past year, so i think it won't give you too many problems.
