December 1, 200817 yr Hi. I'm about to get my new system up and running and I have a question regarding the software setup on these drives. I have two 500G Seagate drives and I'm planning on installing the software in the following manner:1st Drive ( C) - Vista 64 system, misc. (non-FSX) simulations (including possibly FS9 and CFS 2/3), and non-sim programs and utilities (including RealTemp, CoreTemp, and CPU-Z)2nd Drive (D) - FSX and all FSX-related programs and utilitiesDoes this sound like the best way to do it?Thanks,Jeff
December 1, 200817 yr There's no need to split it up. Install everything to one drive, then use a modern defragger to move the FS directory to the outer edge of the hardddrives's disk. That's the best performance you'll get regardless of which drive FS is on. Use the 2nd drive as your backup drive. Safety first!
