adding aircraft

Featured Replies

Please help.I have MS Flight Simulator 98.I downloaded some aircraft and added them using the unzip utility from the AVSIM site (one of the 10 must have downloads). The aircraft are not showing up in FS98's list of choices.I'm new at this. Probably something simple. I did check, and there were sounds, panels, gauges installed in FS998 folders for the aircraft I downloaded.Advice is appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest patches for FS98, because some planes refuse to work without it. Also install the Flightshop converter, but dont use the program that comes with it. This adds some of the folders you need to get some panels to work.I think this is what you do to get the planes working, although I haven't really messed with FS98 in like 2-3 years.
