April 9, 200323 yr Hi, I can't seem to get the overhead bitmap to display in the Commander :-( . I've tried many, many different key combos and joystick assignments. The up view, regardless of what is programmed to trigger it, will not show the view.If there is anyone who can get this view, could you please give me a little assistance? Thanks, Adam P.S. This is one of the finest aircraft I have had the pleasure of using!
April 9, 200323 yr Adam,It seems so simple but probably is not. Not sure what you are doing wrong but I got my Up.bmp view for that panel to display after I first turned off the Numlock light on my keyboard and then pressed Ctrl+8 (the keypad 8). In my Assignments menu, the "Look Up" keyboard assignment was assigned to Ctrl+numpad 8. Having done that, I must say I think that particular view direction is not all that good - the background is too dark and the visual details are rather muted. The rest of the views, however, are supurb.Stan V.
April 9, 200323 yr If I'm not mistaken, try: CTRL + sThis should give you the view from above. Hope that's what you're talking about.Brad
April 9, 200323 yr If you are talking about the FSD Commander, I don't remember there being an overhead bitmap in 2d view.
April 9, 200323 yr Thanks guys. I'll try your suggestions.cw, the plane I'm referring to is Milton Schupe's Aero Commander 520. The part of my post that got cut off specified the aircraft.Adam
April 10, 200323 yr "If you are talking about the FSD Commander, I don't remember there being an overhead bitmap in 2d view."That is correct. A Commander has no overhead. Just upholstery up there.http://www.fsd-international.com/team/TD_forum_sig.gif
