January 9, 200917 yr My first thread here was locked by a moderator before conversation could develop much. That surprised me, because it seemed to me that most participants seemed interested, and even though no forum rules were violated. On any active public board, there are inevitably posts made by individuals who aren't very concerned with the topic. But on the better boards, such posts aren't allowed to demolish all discussion. Before I invest more time here, I hope to understand whether it is customary policy for moderators to kill threads at the earliest sign of any trace of expressed cynicism by an individual or two, and without monitoring the thread further to afford it the chance to develop in a positive and informing direction. If AVSIM moderators maintain a hair-trigger about discussions such as the one below (which was intended constructively) and if it is routine at AVSIM to lock threads such as this example without warning, then I'll not waste my time. So please let us know, and thanks!Yaw Ready for This?
