white trees in e.g. Hong Kong

Featured Replies

I noticed when slewing around VHHH there was a hill with (not totally white) white trees as if it has snowed lightly on them. I'm pretty sure Hong Kong has a tropical climate. Just wondering if there is a tree type I don't know of that looks kind of white or if it's a glitch..... I'll post a screenshot as soon as I get home

Can you pin point the hill? I use HK a lot & haven't noticed anything. Also, what time of year are you in?TW

It's not only in HK... I just noticed it the first time in HK. I've also seen it in other places. White snowed on trees next to palm trees. Here's a shot.

You're right--those trees look out of place, especially next to the palm! Have you by any chance installed any new texture sets? Looks like it might be a good idea to try reinstalling the default tree textures if that's the case. Although, with the FS9 climate, you never know. Maybe it's a glitch in the way the climate zones are defined in the game. Some pretty strange things have been seen over the years...Bill
