Renovated, Refurbished, Reopened

San Diego, CA - March 28th, 2009 -- California Regional Representatives announced earlier this evening that California Regional has completed their RRR operation to Renovate, Refurbish, and Reopen California Regional for another round of great customer service and reliability. Originally opened in January of 2008, California Regional encountered financial problems like many others, but recently found new funding and corporate company contracts. In light of these new events, maintenance and ground crews have been working around the clock to get the fleet of 737-800's prepped and ready for operations. New paints have been applied to the aircraft and gates at the eight (8) destinations have been re-decorated. The renovation began by selling the ATR's and MDx's and replacing them with 737-800's to complement the prior-existing ones. This allows interchangeability and faster turnaround times as it has become the standard aircraft. The refurbishing continued as the gates, aircraft and corporate offices were redecorated and prepped for reopening. The re-opening ceremony will begin on Sunday, March 29th at which time all pending pilots will be accepted and welcomed to the airline. Applications are currently being accepted and staff members are working to move the aircraft to the San Diego base of operations for final preparations.
