FSX and multi engine sound files

I hope there is someone here that can help me with this.On all of my radial engine aircraft in FSX, this includes the default DC-3 and the Goose as well. After the second engine is started it sound like they are running wide open. I can push the throttle all the way forward and back, but that only works until a view change is done. Then it's back to sounding like the engines are running full throttle. I've tried different sound, but it's the same. I don't know if this helps, but I'm running FSX on Vista. Thank you for your help.
