Newbie-type question about airports and gates

Featured Replies

When i download aircraft, i often look at the picture of the aircraft b4 downloading it (on avsim), and I see really nice looking airports full of downloaded planes, and 737s with little ladders on them and all that. Can somebody tell me how to do that? I've seen those little addons for additional gates, but so far, nothing about the planes. Additionally, does anyone know where to find good singapore, KL, and bangkok scenery?

If you go to File Library and search for Bangkok you'll find some decent scenery. Singapore wasn't there, though, and what's KL? (Kowloon? That's a restaurant in Saugus, Massachusetts. Believe it or not, one of the largest grossing restaurants in the country.)Little ladders on aircraft are NOT part of the aircraft. If you mean the stairs at the ramp, they are part of the scenery, so search scenery files. Some of these may be "static aircraft" which are part of the scenery, but don't move. (Think of them as "trees.")There are a few aircraft that have opening doors which swing down with stairs. Some of the C-130's are like this. Unfortunately, I've seen them as AI aircraft at 2000 feet with the doors open.
