May 10, 200917 yr Hello, I would like to get some help for a problem I've encountered. I usually fly long-haul flights on fs9, vista 32 bits, in offline mode forced to sim time (with "history" weather corresponding to the boarding time downloaded), with the ASA SP1 406 update version, with simulation speed set to x16 while in cruise, and in the middle of many flights, I see that ASA closes and the weather at inferior flight levels seems very foggy. After that, ASA of course doesn't have any effect anymore (but fs9 runs normally apart from that). So I have to restart ASA, get connected, and download the last data automatically. As I don't like to be connected to the Internet while I'm flying, I disable my connection then. After that I get a message telling me ASA goes to offline mode, I press the OK button, and the flight continues normally.I've noticed that this closing problem occurs at about every two flights, especially during day flights; I don't know if it is a coincidence. This has happened since I got the first SP1 version you made. I wish this information could be useful for you to help me. Thanks for the great work you're doing.
May 11, 200917 yr Hi,Please don't fly at 16X and see what happens. None of our programs are designed to be used at such a high speed acceleration rate. Thanks,
May 11, 200917 yr Thanks for your suggestion. I will try that soon and tell you what happened. Other question: do you think ASA can be used with moderate acceleration rates, such as 2x (or 4x in the worst case)? Indeed, I understand what you say but it would be very long and disturbing if I were obliged to let fs9 work at a normal speed for 11 hours in some cases! I'd like to precise that I used to fly with the rate of 16x with ASv6.5 before, and I never had similar problems. Thanks again for your help.
May 12, 200917 yr Hi,The highest rate we have ever found to be useful is up to and including 4X. This includes ASv6.5.Thanks,
