FSX ASA 406 Interpolation & Temperature Issues

Featured Replies

hi guys,i've reported this problem several times and even with the new build it hasn't changed. whenever i start my flight at an airport that is represented as advanced interpolation by ASA metar; the temperatures shown inside the cockpit are all wrong. ASA seems to inject a random temperature from elsewhere. dont know whats happening??? also, as i climb, the temperature constantly increases and does not decrease until reaching 30000 ft. please dont call this temperature inversion as it happens at all airports in FSX. the temperature issues have always been there but the interpolation bug started appearing only from build 394. prior to this build interpolation was fine. CLOUD POPPING. pls fix this. this is one thing that makes u feel ur flying in magic weather. right from the beginning till the current build this hasn't been fixed. i know a lot of users who are experiencing this. another problem - FLICKERING. i've already applied the swarm cloud fix, so i know its not the clouds that are flickering but the weather. also, the depiction for the destination airport only comes into view after touching down on the runway (again with a flicker). so, as you can see there are a lot of bugs still there. this makes ASA look like the default FSX weather engine, except that there are a few additional features like wake turbulence and up and down drafts. but who cares? u hardly experience these effects. hope to see HiFi doing their best to ELIMINATE (not just half-solve) all bugs in SP1. otherwise its as good as using default FSX weather itself. regards,

Ashwath, I'll respond by saying I feel your pain, and understand your frustration. They're still trying.Glen

Hi,How much of this have you reported in the manner Damian asked for when he released B406?Thanks,

Skorna,I have not reported anything and dont plan to do so because I already know some users have reported these problems. Moreover I've lost hope. I bought ASA a long time back and haven't used it for the past few months until build 406 was released. I was using another competitive weather engine (no name mentioned) that had almost zero faults. This is making me wonder why HiFi cant do it??? I have been waiting patiently and have still not requested for a refund. I will still wait until the final SP1 comes out and then decide. My post was just to make other users aware of it. Thanks.Regards,
