May 11, 200917 yr Hi,Does anybody know a freeware program that could display some flight parameters like, vertical speed, trim positions, etc.? I would like to have such information on the screen just like it is possible with alt, speed and hgd (shift+Z).I would be very grateful for your help.Kind regards
May 11, 200917 yr pawjer,There is one panel I use on FS9 AND FSX aircraft which is good for 1 engine, 2 engine, jet, turbo-prop, UFOs, etc. The file is inside zip of a Harrier, and is called 'hja_jet' by A. J. Altman. Gauges are dated as far back as 2003. But, since they are XML (this guy was WAY ahead of the crowd of panel 'designers') they work perfect in FSX too. I have been using it for 3 years now. Love it. Since AvSim library is capute right now, go FltSimCom and search 'harfsx23.zip', which is 13 mb. Then you can rename PANEL to 'panel.hja' and just change line in cfg to read 'panel=hja' and you're done. You click HSI then rose to get gauge to show as there is a hole there when you fist load. No work around-just cope with it. You can see trim in digital read-out, and VS on small gauge and on HUD. After you get used to this panel you will no doubt wonder why Mr. Altman did not push it on it's own. (I suspect it went 'payware' (which I don't have any of) and so he can't offer it free). Post back after you try it. Here is a pic.Chuck BNapamule
