Texture Loading Problems

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone, I have been using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 with the same computer I have for six years now. All those years, I have never encountered any problems until now. The problem is related to texture loading on aircrafts and scenery. I am requesting for any solutions to resolve this problem. Here are my explanations of the problems below:

  • Every time when I open the GPS map, the aircraft texture vanished. Then it will show up again within 10 to 20 seconds.

  • When I open the World Map and do the zoom out view the Earth with Continent, but it didn't show up until 30 seconds to 1 minute.

  • When I press "S" to view the aircraft, the texture won't show up within 10 to 20 seconds.

  • While sitting at the airport or taxiing, I clicked keys to view either left or right view of the wings and I notice the airport textures became blurry. Then it comes back to smooth and normal texture within 15 to 30 seconds. That goes the same thing with the ground texture and clouds texture.

Let me give you the specification of my computer below: - Intel Pentium 4, 2.53 GHz- 2 GB RDRAM- 160 GB Hard Drive- 533 MHz Bus System- GeForce 7600 Nvidia 512 MB video card, Direct 9.0 installed- Windows XP SP3 What I should do to resolve the problem with the texture loading. Does that have to do something with FS9.CFG? If any of you know what the exact problem is, please let me know. I will greatly appreciate your help. Thank you. Regards, Mr. D. Barrios
