Afterburner lockup on autopilot in FSX

Featured Replies

In F-111 ,in level flight <5000 , set VSI at 9900 and alt at 20,000 to effect a rapid military style climb then AP master ON .As expected afterburner comes in ,afterburner light on then goes out , the thrust gauge (which is actually throttle % ) goes to 100 , but seems to be flashing 90% as well , with no figures between 90 and 100 , the IAS set at 400kts is exceeded and continues to climb. At 20,000' aircraft levels off , but thrust locked as described above and IAS continues increasing .The above procedure worked /functioned perfectly in same panel in FS9/FS2004 , with autopilot keeping set IAS and thrust displaying figures in 90-100% range and coming out of afterburner .Same scenario in TFR , mountain initiated climb initiates afterburner range and thrust remains locked up .Autopilot works normally as long as thrust does not reach 90% .Have noticed autopilot ILS work ,IAS adjustments by autopilot are extremely sluggish.Q1. Has anyone experienced similar ?Q2. Is there a bug in FSX autopilot program/function?Q3. Is there problems with afterburner program/function ?Q4. Has anyone an idea of what might be causing the above?PS: It is not a standard ALPHASIM panel but a digital version I have created and will soonbe uploading to freeware sites , even if the above problem cannot be resolved .PSS: HELP !!Cheers Cobs
