June 8, 200916 yr Sydney - We would like to announce Destiny Airways, a brand new virtual airline based out of Sydney International Airport. Destiny Airways will officially launch on January 1st, 2010. Flying to several destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United States, we aim to become Australia's leading virtual airline. A final concept development meeting was held at our Sydney office today, with the board of directors happy to finally announce the airline.Destinations:Destiny Airways will be flying to the following cities:-Sydney (HUB)-Melbourne-Adelaide-Brisbane-Perth-Hobart-Auckland-Wellington-Tokyo (Narita)-Singapore-Hong Kong-San Francisco (Via Honolulu)Fleet:Destiny Airways has placed orders for six (6) Airbus A320-200 aircraft. These aircraft will be used on Australian Domestic and New Zealand International routes. We have also reached an agreement to acquire two (2) Boeing 767-300ERs from the International Lease Financing Corporation. The airline's livery will be revealed in due course.Website:Our website is currently under development by our CEO. It features a fully automated flight bidding and approval system. We use an advanced PiRep system for flight logging, rather than an ACARS system. All PiReps are thoroughly inspected and approved/denied by our Chief Pilot.Based on rank, total hours logged, and the specifics of each flight, pilots are virtually paid for their time flown. Pilots are able to use this pay to purchase a reward later on. We also have an internal staff personal message system for in-company communications, as well as a NOTAMs board and flight school.=========We look forward to hearing your opinions on this concept. Further details and information will be released in due course. Any questions you may have can be posted in this thread, or PM'd to me.Thanks.
