June 8, 200916 yr Okay, so!The other day, I purchased walk and follow for FSX and Acceleration..after I activated it, it seemed to be working okay. Second run, major problems began. At first it was just mere flickering of the screen, then as the day progressed, when I tried to change to a walk and follow view, the current view would freeze while the next view flickered on and off the screen, which continues until I disable walk and follow and resumes when I re-enable it. I've tried the patch to 1.0.0.3, and had no success, the same problem continues on. After spending close to $30 for this, I really want to get it working...can anyone offer a solution?
June 8, 200916 yr Well, DBS still hasn't responded...if no one knows the solution, do you at least know where to maybe find help?
June 8, 200916 yr DBS Walk and Follow conflicts with other programs accessing 'the display surface directly.' These are the words I received from DBS support when I had a similar/the same problem. While they didn't actually explain how to fix the problem, I did figure out the FRAPS framerate overlay was causing the issue.Try disabling any and all screen overlays/bars like FSRecorder's 'Replaying x/y' bar, and see if that fixes the problem.-Andrew N.
June 8, 200916 yr DBS is very small, sometimes it takes them a while to respond. Walk & Follow also acts up with TrackIR, which is a big disappointment. Have you tried fiddling around with the W&F settings? The default settings cause issues with a couple of my add-ons, but if I change the settings to something else, W&F seems to work. I don't know if that will solve yor problem, though. Jeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
June 9, 200916 yr Well, I didn't have any overlays, so I don't think that was an issue. As far as settings go, I've fiddled with them a little, but nothing too major. I'll give that a shot and report how it goes.
June 9, 200916 yr Well, the flickering is gone, but now for some reason, when I try to move the camera close to the ground, half the ground vanishes.
