June 9, 200916 yr I recently went to FREE FLIGHT and made a flight from Sydney NSW Australia to Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and I noticed that I was given two different instructions by ATC and Navigation log. Soon after takeoff from 34L at Sydney, ATC says turn right heading 095 and soon after turn right heading 155after which I receive no further instructions until I reach Tasmania. The Navigation log and GPS both tell me to head 195 which I did despite the cry from ATC to expedite my turn to 155. When I received my landing instrutiohs for Hobart, I am told to land on runway 12 which conflicts with the Nav log which says heading 299. can anyone help me to rectify these anomolies. Is it a bad load? corrupted software? or just a glitch that exists. I have an updated computer which can handle FSX with ease. Could some kind soul please duplicate the flight and seee if they get th same anoloies............normael

I believe that you failed to fly over a way point. This prevents ATC from updating to the next leg of the flightplan and it just keeps repeating the same instruction over and over.As far as "heading 299" goes, that is simply the heading you must fly to get to the airport. Aligning yourself with the active runway is either done visually (by you) if you are flying VFR or by following ATC vectors if you are IFR.R-

I had a look at the Nav log and there was no mention of heading 155, which waypoint did I miss? As regards heading 299 is concerned that will only get you to the airport if you are south of Hobart. I'm with you, follow the GPS and use Autopilot and Approach to successfully complete the flight. I presume we have unearthed a glitch in FSX.........Dave
