June 10, 200916 yr Hope someone can help me.It has been a while since I did any designing but I am now trying to get my FS9 stuff to work in FSX. One big issue I have is that Gmax will not open on my pc (running Vista now). On trying to open Gmax I get a fatal error as follows"Interactive 3D renderer initialisation failed" Please check your device settings by using the -H command line option.I have not the faintest idea what to do about this, can anyone help me please?RegardsColin
June 10, 200916 yr Commercial Member Have you installed the appropriate gamepack? If so, you'll have a shortcut to GMAX somewhere which activates the gamepack. The easiest way to change the renderer is to edit this shortcut:Right click;Properties; In the 'Target', add to the end ' -H'; (That's space dash H)Now when you start GMAX using the shortcut, you shouldnow get the option to select a rendering option. Play around with these to find which works best. Once you've found the best renderer, remove the ' -H' from the shortcut's target.

Have you any idea where I can get hold of them?ThanksColin
