June 13, 200916 yr Hi, I'm a new user with ASA. Upon initial install, I was presented with the sim connect not found screen. I followed the instuctions and uninstalled acceleration and in its place installed SP2 from the fsinsider site. The sim connect screen persists. However, when I started FSX I found ASA to be functioning, with the exception of the map which is not rendering. If i pass my mouse cursor over the map area, it highlights station info, but no joy on the graphics. My computer skills are limited, but I can hack my way thru most situations with a little direction. CraigG

June 13, 200916 yr Author Well, I just fired it up to take a look and now the whole ASA program is not visible. It goes to the simconnect cannot find SP2 screen, I click thru that, and then the program continues to load minimized. I started FSX to check and ASA is running . I cannot get it to display however. June 14, 200916 yr Hi,Install this as the minimized issue is fixed:http://dreamcatcher.hifisim.com/ASA-Update-B431.zipThanks,
June 14, 200916 yr Author Thanks for guiding me to the update. That fixed the minimized issue and the "sim connect cannot find SP2" message. The map graphics are still not showing up. FYI, I'm using a Dell laptop with an Nvidia 8600 card. I've got the latest drivers (174.31) tweaked with nhancer. They are however about a year old. I think I'm pretty much stuck using these proprietary drivers. To answer your question, there is no dark blue in my ASA frame. The center portion is the same color as the examples in the documentation. The outer portion is my default display color (light blue) There is no dark blue border like in the documentation.CraigG
