Something I've wondered about for a while.....

Why is it not possible to have AI generated flights in a 'personal'(not VATSIM or the like) multiplayer game?My brother and I often hook up and fly together. Sometimes we take turns in the ATC role. I have often wondered how cool it would be to try and sequence him for landing behind several other inbound flights or have to issue trafic adivories and the like. However without online AI flights you are left with just him and I in the virtual skies. Fun but it gets a little boring from time to time. From what I've seen and read 2004 looks VERY promising and it got me think about this subject all over again. While we're at it any way to allow the user to work as ATC for AI flight...oh well maybe in 2005;)Just curious is all,ThanksAndy 'Jammer' Simmons.

Hmm,Interesting question, but likely it's because of this: When there is AI traffic the system actually controls all movements of aircraft around you and needs a lot of resources for that, now imagine if there would be AI traffic that should be controlled around a host of multiplayers at the same time, and the data be synchronized with all other connected computers.... Pandemonium.Besides the bandwidth requirements over normal internet connections would be immense I believe.Happy flyingRalph HummelStaff ReviewerAVSIM Online
