Station Database Management

Jim, still trying to solve the overcast problems at my home airport of CYQA that always reports 9sm visibility. I followed your suggestions from a previous post :------------------------------------------------Hi,Go to Options/Edit Station data and load the Data Stations. Find the stations you wish to disable and check the Disabled? box.Next click on the Save Edit icon.Last click on the Create File icon.I tried this and it woks for your station.-----------------------------------------------This works for getting rid of the station, but the weather is still being influenced somehow. The first screen shot is CDH1 showing clear skies which is being depicted correctly (accurate to current local conditions) and you can see that CYQA is gone, it should be between CDH1 and CWGL. The second screen shot is at CYQA with CDH1 weather (Seek Station:CDH1, Lock to FS position: ticked), the same weather, but the skies have changed to overcast(ish), not the same clear that was at CDH1 (not accurate for current conditions at CYQA). The third screen shot is showing CYQA with the CDH1 metar. In the second and third screen shot I have turned off some of the map options, was trying to see if they overlapped CYQA, forgot to turn them back on when the shots were taken. Anyways, you can see at 11:22 Local PC time in the third screen shot that nothing had changed, CDH1 still clear below 20,000, 10sm visibility. Should I not be seeing the same at both airports if CYQA is getting the CDH1 metar.? Any thoughts.Glen

Hi,You might need to do more than just the Data Stations. On that same screen try disabling the Airport and the Physical Station. Do this the same way as before, remembering to click on Save Edit and Create file before moving on to the next edit. That night I was working on this for you I did disable a few of these so I don't know for sure which one stopped the 9SM conditions from showing up. But I do remember getting rid of it.Thanks,

Hi Jim, all three were deleted/disabled, Airport, Data, and Physical. I left the NDB, shouldn't affect anything.Glen

Hi,Now or before you took those shots? I can't personally test until next week but I'll visit here at least onec every 24 hours. Thanks,

Hi JimBefore the screen shots, couldn't do another test today, too cloudy, which of course showed cloud at both. Glen

Hi Jim, second test.Had to wait till later Friday for the weather to clear to get a good comparison. First off here are the lines from my:Airports.dat in "C:\Documents and Settings\Glen XXXX\Application Data\HiFi\ASA\StationsEdits" "CYQA,44.975,-79.303,922,-1,-1" DownloadStations.dat "C:\Documents and Settings\Glen XXXX\Application Data\HiFi\ASA\StationsEdits "CYQA::44.967::-79.283::282::MUSKOKA AIRPORT::-1::-1"wx_station_list.txt "C:\Documents and Settings\Glen XXXX\Application Data\HiFi\ASA\Weather" no CYQA.There is a DownloadStations.dat in "C:\Documents and Settings\Glen XXXX\Application Data\HiFi\ASA" no CYQA.Here are the screen shots:CDH1 Clear - very close to current conditions, perfect.Moved to CYQA in FS9, did a Refresh of ASA and waited the 10 minutes for the download and update to complete. 17:58 first screen - 18:08 second screen CYQA using CDH1 Metar as per Seek Station "CDH1" - Overcast, not close to current conditions.Glen
