June 24, 200916 yr Hello to all, I have downloaded the B-25J for FSX from the Roy Chaffin "Packages" site and I can not install it. It specifies that the file must be installed directly into FSX. I downloaded the zip file to my downloads folder and extracted the contents to that same folder. I read the "read me" file and double-clicked on the exe file and followed the instructions. I let the wizard install it to <microsoft games/microsoft flight simulator X> which is the default and it said that the installation was succesful. But when I opened FS, the aircraft was nowhere to be found. I checked the contents of FSX and it is not there. O.K. I figured that I had done something wrong by not specifying "Sim Objects, so I went back and tried to install it again, this time to <microsoft games/microsoft flight simulator X/sim objects/airplanes>. Once again, I was told that the installation was succesful and once again the aircraft is not there. Now I am confused. I am brand new to Flight Simulator so I assume I don't understand something, or I am doing it all wrong. All help would be greatly appreciated. I am using FSX with Acceleration and Vista. Thanks. May life smile upon you, Fritz

May life smile upon you, Fritz Seems that it was a problem with Vista. Right-clicking on the exe. file and "Install as Adminastrator" solves the problem. Sorry to trouble you. Fritz
