The new Saitek Instrument Panel

So, Saitek finally came out with it. It s a nice little unit, with buttons and knobs, but they claim it only shows one of six instruments, so here's my question: the panel comes with 'developer's software', which leads me to thinking: (1) can this software adapt the panel to FS2004, and (2) can this software make the panel display GPS? My opinion is this: if the panel was able to show the GPS, I'd find the $$$ to buy it in a heartbeat. It'd be great to have a stand-alone GPS display to free up space on the monitor. Can anyone here with any development savvy shed some light on this theory?
