3d vision and FSX

Featured Replies

Greetings to one and all! I have this system: Intel DP43TF mainboard with 4Gb RAM, three SATA disks with XP on one, Vista on another and Windows 7 RC on the third; Asus EN9600GT 1 GB graphics card. Monitor is a Samsung 120 hz bundled with NVidia 3D Vision. The 3D works well with FS9 (in fact it's very good) but when I try to switch on 3d Vision in FSX (Alt+enter to get into full screen mode) , I get the error message "Out of memory. Stereo has been turned off"and the sim returns to 2d mode. I have corresponded briefly with NVidia, but I think they haven't met this problem before.I did a fresh install of Windows 7 and had 3D vision and FSX as the only programs, but got the same error. It seems to be possibly something in FSX that causes this malfunction, but I am not a techie, so wonder if anyone else has any ideas on this? NVidia include FSX in their list of Sims that give "Excellent" performance in 3D.Would be grateful for a solution. Thanks, Ade
