July 1, 200916 yr Hey...I'm trying to find a better fly-by module for FSX, one like was there for FS2004 that has the ground spotting view. Walk and Follow doesn't have an aircraft tracking option, and FSrecorder removed the views options for FSX...does anyone know of a good replacement for those awful default tower views? I've also tried EZwalk, but I get this 'this program has stopped working' error when I try to run it...
July 1, 200916 yr I don't have recorder in FSX but do have it in FS9. If it works the same, then you can create a new TOWER view, then using keypad (with NumLock ON=light will be lit up) you can move the new tower view with kepad keys to the location you want it. Some tower views will not have 'tracking' so change to another on that does with use of 'V' key. Then use 'Shift+Enter' and 'Shift+Backspace' to move it up or down to where your 'starting' location will be at ground level or high off ground. Let me know if this works for you.Chuck BNapamule

July 1, 200916 yr Sorry. I thought I read that only the 'ground spoting views' were eliminated. I re-read and now realize I missed that. Too bad, as it would be nice, but I guess it is just too difficult to work with the FSX 'engine' (which'sputters'-even on a good day-ha), SDK or not. I don't 'do' Walk and Follow or EZWalk, so can't help.I too miss a good spoting view program, being that I love to do videos. The only thing FSX has is the Fly-By view, and only adjustment to that (random position) is the '-' and '+' keys to zoom out/in. I wish you luck. ONCE I had flyby view directly in front, ground level, as I was taking off. That lasted for 3 seconds. Then I never saw it again. So, it may be possible to set it (permanent position, using co-ordinates, perhaps) but I don't know how. Just a thought.Chuck BNapamule
