FS2002 + MS Sidewinder VC sound problems

I bought an MS Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick to use with FS2002. It seems to work okay except in Virtual Cockpit mode. In VC mode, if I pan the view using the hat switch, the sound cuts in and out as I pan. Depending on where I stop the pan, the sound may go out completely until I move the viewing angle slightly. This does not happen in the normal cockpit mode and did not happen with my old CH yoke.Anyone have any ideas on this one?Thanks,Joe
