carrier in online

Featured Replies

hey all, nice to be speaking on avsim again!i was wondering if, in the infinite wisdom of the internet, someone could tell me the best carrier to download to use online.at the minute, i have one such, perfect in every way, but it has no access to the hangar despite having a "hangar cam".could anybody link me to a good carrier, it must be pilotable, landable, and preferrably have landing assistance [the carrier i have has a clever camera behind the third cable, looking backwards along the approach, unpannable, that shows the optimal descent, you can then talk the pilot in with the help of lights on the side of the deck that respond to the pitch of the yoke, so you can visually tell the pilot whether they are above or below the optimal approach line.]thanks to all, and if i get replies, look out for my room on gamespy [crappy gamespy :( ]thanks for any and all help!the grover

It sounds to me like the carrier you have is the one from Flight Sim Nation. It is possible to access the hangar deck, but you have to position yourself on an elevator and change your altitude in the map to lower or raise elevators.Flight Sim Nation's carrier is generally regarded as the latest and greatest... it is even shareable so one can be ATC and another "Captain".Robert

ok then, i was hoping there would be another with an accesible one. i had forgotten the name of the carrier, fsn.could you please explain how to change your altitude in-game, and what numbers it needs changing to?thanksthe grover

I downloaded the FSN carrier when it first came out; but deleted it because all of those multi-player carriers have the same problem. Way, way too often you see aircraft substituted for aircraft carriers.I assigned a key for "display map", but you can also get to it through the in-game menu. If you are in full screen mode pressing ALT will get you the menu.Like I said, it has been a while since I was on a carrier. I think elevator raised is 75 feet and lowered is 50 feet... but you would be better off checking the manual that came with the FSN Carrier.Robert
