Winds Aloft Deleted

Featured Replies

Hi,First of all: thanks for service pack one! As for me, I have definately seen improvement in ASA's performance. However, there is one thing that bugs me (and I don't know whether the problem already existed before SP1 or not): whenever I edit the wind direction of surface winds in the WX Config tab, ASA would delete all my winds aloft. I try to just configure the surface winds so that I know my AFCADs and AI Traffic will work properly, but I intend to leave the winds at higher altitudes exactly as they were. This only happens though when I edit 'Surface'; would I edit for instance '3000', it leaves the other altitudes the way they were. The same problem arises wenever I try to configure my winds by means of the editable encoded METAR. Changing the wind direct and/or speed and then hitting parse METAR automatically changes the altitudes '3000', '6000', etc. to 0.Am I doing something wrong or is there some quick fix for this issue? Thanks,Alex

Best regards,

Hi Alex,Thanks for the report and you are right, it happens just as you explained. What I will do is report this as a bug and go from there. If there is an easy fix, I'll try and remember to let you know. If not, this will remain on the fix list for our next SP.Thanks,
