FS9 with Vista?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, hope this is correct forum. I run FS9 using vista and an nvidia 8500GT graphics card (512MB with 3G of ram) and in over 18 months I have never resolved the Shimmer Issue. All my add on aircraft shimmer when I pan out to view them and certain things like fences in my scenery. I've tried every driver possible, every CFG config and every enhanser setting known to man!! I do not suffer with frame rates and have All sliders to max!I've read every forum on this matter and still no joy. Please give a magic formula :( Fox

I run Vista 64 and use a 8800 GTX. I also use the latest version of nHancer. For me, this has worked very well albeit it did take a lot of experimenting to find sweet spot settings. I occasionally get some ground object shimmer when viewing from a distance, but it's relatively minor. All my aircraft are crystal clear in FS9 and FSX. If I'm not mistaken ... Anisotropic settings might have some bearing on your shimmering problem.

Thanks Moonbeam I don't suppose you could share your enhanser setting? :( Fox

These are the settings that work for me. You may or may not get the same results because of all the variables from computer to computer.
