August 12, 200916 yr I'm in process of designing a rudder system for the Cessna U206G. I've looked at commercial 'Simkits' version as well as looking at pics of the rudder pedals on other photo sitesCessna rudder pedal extensionshttp://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/graphics/S-RPE-CN1.jpgAs well as a build project on Flightsim.com. Quite a good article. My question. From the looks of the pedal for toe brakes you would/could put your foot up on the 'Ledge' of the pedal and rock forward. This would show the angle of the pedal to a degree as your foot would slide off if it was to shallow. During non braking operation you could put your feet on the floor and move the rudder that way. That is how it appears to me. So if there are any Cessna flyers out there perhaps you can help me with that. I'm not sure if your feet are on the floor all the time or riding on the pedal for part or all of the time? I will probably build the pedals so the bottom is close to the floor to make it comfortable to operate - unless I find out otherwise hehe.. Wanting it to be right but willing to make it easy to use to..I need enough of an angle so my foot doesn't slide off the top but not so much it's uncomfortable. I don't want to customize it to much but knowing how they are actually used will go a long way to getting a happy medium ground..
