COGA TRUE Spirit CPU Cooler

Featured Replies

Hi all,I planned to buy the Thermalright TRUE cooler, but ended up with the COGA TRUE Spirit 1366 (http://www.cogage.com/) after reading a review (http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/07/23/intel_core_i7_heatsink_roundup_q309/1). It's designed by people from Thermalright.ProsCheapVery effective - My temps are below 80C running OCCT @ 4GHz with an ambient temp of 23C. And this is with a single fan.ConsThe mounting bracket construction could be a lot better. They use the same type of push-pin mounting as the i7 box cooler. But I had no problem with the mounting.

Nice. I bought http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?opti...6&Itemid=62. It's is based on the Thermalright TRUE design but it is supposed to be more efficient. However I am running my 920 (D0) at 4GHz @ 1.425Vcore and temps go up to 100C even with that cooler and 2x12cm fans attached on each side in order to maximize airflow. I tried lower CPU Vcore but I get blue screens. 1.425 is the only value that gives stability at 4GHz. I am thinking of going towards a liquid-cooling solution. I don't like the idea of a liquid-cooled system but its oneway if I want to remain at 4GHz.

Well, Xbitlabs review ends up with different results regarding the Prolimatech cooler: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/d...rs-roundup.html
Hmm. Interesting. What about the http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/pro...x-14-intel.html then?? There is only 4C difference between the thermalright and the Prolimatech at full load according to Xbitlabs
Seems to be a effective cooler. Please give us all some feedback after install :-)
