Shuttering problem with ASX

Featured Replies

First, I would like to congratulate the HiFi Staff for their superb latest Active Sky X prgram as I've been a loyal fan since Active Sky original. However, I wonder if any of you can help me with a small problem I'm experiencing with ASX, running on FSX. Despite that both ASX and Graphic X are running along fine, the problem is shuttering. When I'm flying, normally running at 25fps (Capped), I get shuttering every now and now where frame rate shutter between 10 to 25,normally when the ASX is processing the latest weather. However, this shuttering is much less noticeable when running in Window view.Selecting "Force High Priority" option had make no effect. Besides, reading in HiFi own forum, I read somewhere where it's says " run ASX using second core" as in dual core CPU. How is this done as I can't find a option to select this.I have FSX, ASX including AS Graphics X running on a AMD Phenom X2 550BE with 2 hard drives, 4GB ram and a ATi Radeon HD 4670 512MB GC. All my FSX and ASX are installed on the same drive.Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,Thanks for the words! The option to run on core two come from Windows. I know you can use Task Manager and right mouse click on the ASA.exe entry and set affinity to core two. Thanks,
