August 18, 200916 yr Recently I've been wanting to create my own AI for FSX. After reading many documents on the internet, I think I have a method that will work that involves multiple programs. First, I'll use the FSX Decompiler utility by Peter van der Veen to decompile the FSX AI file. I'll then use notepad to edit anything that I need to, and then use Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy to compile the bgl. I actually have a couple questions about this I'd like to ask. First of all, does anyone famaliar with AI traffic creation think this will work? It seems fine to me but this is my first time creating AI traffic so I'm not too sure. Also, do I need to run the finished bgl that was compiled by Traffic Tools through the bgl compiler that was included in FSX Deluxe (which I have) so as to make sure it is FSX compatible? I apologize is this didn't make any sense but I'm hoping to get some advice on this.
August 18, 200916 yr Uh, sounds like a lot of work to me. I'd be looking for a nice tool to do the hard stuff, like AI Flight Planner by Don Grovestine; http://members.shaw.ca/aifp/
