August 20, 200916 yr For some reason, my installation of FSX has decided it doesn't want to display the mission compass any more, and no longer shows it in missions. The mission marker (the big green arrow) appears, but cycling through the compass options (either with the keystroke or in the settings menu) doesn't make the compass appear in any of the missions, although occasionally a white box will briefly flash on the screen in the location where the compass should be. I've checked my display settings, and there's nothing in there that would make the compass vanish, so I'm stumped as to what to do here.I removed the few non-default missions that were present in my FSX folder, but that also failed to make the pointer reappear. Reinstalling Acceleration (through the "repair" option) also failed to solve the problem. This has happened once before, and it seemed to fix itself after reinstalling FSX and Acceleration, but I'd rather not reinstall FSX if I can avoid it. Does anyone here know what the heck is going on with my copy of FSX and if there's a solution for this problem that doesn't involve reinstalling the sim?
