conflict with pmdg airplanes causing texture issues?

Featured Replies

This thread on pmdgs board, flying the 747Xhttp://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=117369Someone just posted how they think its active sky causing pmdg virtual cockpit and any other texture to disappear. I noticed I had one good flight recently from KORD to PHNL, long flight. But that was all during the day. Well last night I was flying PANC to KSDF, and everything was fine, textures loaded correctly nothing disappeared. But now suddenly the daylight turns to dusk, and my virtual cockpit textures almost all disappeared except for the gauges! Do you have any idea if this might be caused by asa (with latest service pack and beta built 435) loading new environmental textures? Thanks for any help in hopefully solving this, it is killing me! I can't fly long distance in the queen!Alex

I also have pmdg and ASA on vista 64 i7920.I was also getting the texture dissapearing issue. However in the pmdg forum on avsim, someone suggested that this could be solved by turning down the sound quality of your sound card in your windows sound tool in control panel.I think there are 24bit and 16bit options, mine is currently set to i think 16bit CD quality.Since doing this i dont get pmdg texture issues anymore.I am using Creative labs sound card, my mother sound card is not used. I turn sound quality down in creative labs sound card config window.

Hi Everyone,Thanks for the notice and the link. I did make a post.
