Coding Question

I have been programming (non-professionally) for about 15 years using VB from the 3.0 days now using VS 2008 Professional. I was wanting to "dabble" in a few things to check out and see what I can do. Mainly around adding maybe a gauge for this and that.I was wondering if there is any hope or am I just getting "in over my head?"Any thoughts the pros have would be appreciated.John

Lets just say development for FSX is a little like a pool... there is the shallow end and then there is a deep end. It's really up to you and what you want to accomplish. If it's making simple 2D guages and panels and the like you can start off with XML and move your way up. It won't hurt to give it a try...
