This seems to be related only to FS2002. The engine sounds are fine when I first start in the cockpit, then deteriorate as I cycle the views. The sound gets kind of tinny, and slightly muffled. Sometimes in higher density graphics they might go out altogether, and I will get a hideous, rasping noise. Is this a mobo problem, or is it time to go to Win XP? I've updated the sound drivers. And again, it seems to only affect the engine sounds. Flaps, ATC, etc. are fine. Thanks,Todd

I'm guessing its actually a problem with your Onboard sound.

Well, that's what I thought too. So I plugged in a sound card but it didn't help. And this is isolated to FS. Sounds in other games are very good. This all seemed to start after installing the Radeon. Made sure it has it's own IRQ, but no difference.
