Have a couple of queriesCirrus Cloud Generation - Am I right in saying this is the amount of cirrus cloud regardless of any METAR or other forecasts?Stratus Cloud Occurence - Is this the stratus vs cumulus for a particular cloud level?

Hi,Cirrus are the high wispy clouds that are hardly ever in METAR data, so your statement would be correct.Stratus are flat clouds, usually lower, but this would be for all levels.Thanks,
