Help for a beginner to the multiplayer scene. What's out there?

Featured Replies

Hi!I'm intrigued by FS multiplayer. Can someone tell me what's the most important stuff in the multiplayer scene. I know about VATSIM. What else is there that people do? Can you provide some links where I can read about FS multiplayer things (besides VATSIM).. what are crucial addons.. where to go for activities and such.I thank you!

I think Vatsim is really the main place for multiplayer flying, but it can be more than just flying with ATC. Have you ever tried a site called group flight? http://www.flyava.org/GroupFlight/ is a site where you can join up with others at scheduled locations for, well, a group flight. It's like a fly in type thing, but over the internet with VATSIM ATC. Also, if you're a VA member, the hours can count depending on which VA you're with. Also, you'd want to take a look at the MSN Gaming Zone http://zone.msn.com/ and see what's going on there with FS2002. There are always active multiplayer games and events in the FS2002 area.Have fun,MarcMarc Gibsonhttp://www.freewebs.com/flightsimcfi/http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

There is also a forum for BushNet here on avsim.comThey frequently have flyins on the weekend. mostly for those of us who enjoy flying in the mountains...The server is available 24/7 and the folks on the BushNet forum are very helpful if you have any questions.

Also, here's a Multiplayer Tutorial I wrote a while back that gives more info on getting started:http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/multiplayer.htmlRussell (OzzieYank)

Also Bushnet does not require any aditional software, excepr Team Speak for comunications. Its a direct IP connect, nothing else.
