September 11, 200916 yr I have built all of my boards (last year).....now that I a laid off and have some free time, I have decided to go at it again. All of my boards are working fine except for the io board......It has accepted the flashing and will recognize an analog input on port A. When I try to get a rigular pushbutton swith hooked up it goes crazy. If I hit the reset in FSBUS for this board, it resets and then displays every id in the test box (63 lines). If I clear the box and attempt to use one switch, when I activate the switch the lines just keep going, same cid, but a different id and type on every line.........it just keeps going until I let up on the switch........I have checked the board for hours trying to locate a short or open....nothing....and no cold solder joints.....I have also changed out all of the IC's....no luck. As I stated, the analog input on the A port is working just fine.....I wuld think that when I activate the switch, I should get only one reading of the switch being turned on or off. This is the newer boards not the original.......I wish I had never gotten rid of my original boards...they worked. Any help would be appreciated......Thanks in advanceMilt.

With every board I made I had hours and hours to find shorts and cold solders ( I have 4 io cards). Check also your cables. (I once had a faulty connection in one of the cables). Leds and capacitators in the right direction? The symptoms you describe seem to e like there are shorts. Use a magnifying glass or a multieter to check every connection. A lot of work, but it is the only way to succes.I know it is frustating, but keep trying, the design of the boards has been built by many and they work.good luck Norbert Bosch
