HEHE check out this crazy airport

This airport has got to be the roughest grass strip ever and the lakes near it dont give much choice :)WIKK - Departi AmarGive it a test landing :)

LOL, like landing on a ski-slopeCompare the angle of my 182sp to the static planes, geeees! :D=Swiv=

Must be a glitch in the scenery, because FSNavigator doesn't "see" any runway at all. And when you look in the map view for WIKK, it says the runway is asphalt.Idem dito at WIPP, which has a tower (ATC) and an ILS, but also no visible tower or runway (rwy should be asphalt according to the map view).Jozef http://www.dse.nl/~joker32/pictures/signature.jpg

Wow that approach looks nasty. Nice place to go rock climbing hehe.

Hi Peter,The cliff face certainly looks unforgiving ;-)BTW, how is an uphill landing in a powered plane? Once you learn how to do it, I found that an uphill landing in a hang glider actually is a lot easier than a normal landing. Just somewhat more intimidating and you do not want to be too late to flare.Best regards,Henri

HenriI am a big fan of powered approaches and a big downer of glide approaches. With a powered approach you come in on a fairly flat profile powering down to the landing spot. You need to flare slightly more to take the slope into account and then its up hill all the way which makes for a quick deceleration.Be nice if MSFS modelled these slopesPeter

Hmmmmmmm LOL where is the runway at? LOL I do not see it :).

Man Peter thats must have been hairy the first time you went there :)

Hi Peter,In a hang glider I only have the choice of gliding approaches. The uphill landing is so nice, since it allows very accurate landings with little ground effect. You just have to make sure you flare in time, otherwise you make a big dent in the hill ;-) Thanks again for showing your incredible pictures. I always enjoy them very much.Best regards,Henrihttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

If you think that is crazy, check out Table Rock, Oregon (Ogo6) in FS2002. I did a takeoff by going in a spiral, but never tried to land there.

FS navigator on my system sees the runway fine... ill give OGO6 a go :)

Wow! That Ogo6 is a blast! You guys should try getting the skyhawk off a 13,000ft rwy thats at the worlds highest Intl airpory. ( SLLP ) the airport Alt is 13,300ft.

Oh my! OG06 is NUTS LOLOL. I bearly could get out of there alive LOL. Another field like this is SESM, but thats not nearly as hard to get out of LOL.Good find! LOL It is always fun to find airports that are messed up in FS2002 LOL.
