CAT landings

Good day:Could someone please explain the differences between CAT I, II, IIIa, IIIb and IIIc landings please? Also how do you know which catagory the ILS is from the IAP plate?ThanksRici

The approach plate will have a title cat I,II or III if its authorized for landing, as for an explanation, this relates to the NG 737 ops written by Bill Bulfer. CAT I: DA/MDA ≥200 Visibility ≥1.Requires one transmissometer.2.If weather conditions are below 4000 RVR or 3/4 mile visibility,aFD must be used or a coupled approach must be made.3.If the autopilot is inop,the Monitored Approach Procedure shouldstill be used with the FO flying manually using the MonitoredApproach Procedure.4.CAT I or Non-precision approach,PM will call
