September 23, 200916 yr I'm probably missing the obvious, but how can I view jpg images - showing as [attachment=XXXX...jpg] in forum posts.I'm using Firefox 3.5.3. Is it something I need to set in the Tools--->Options section?

Is it something I need to set in the Tools--->Options section?NO images seen at all?Test this by going to the screen shot forum where there are lots of proper images to view... come back here and let us know what happened. If only some images are not seen in other forums, there may not be anything wrong with you or your setup... images are removed after a period of time, AND they are removed when they are over the allowed file size for Avsim... either of these things will leave you with a text line like you are seeing.
September 23, 200916 yr Author Many thanks for the prompt reply.I've randomly sampled some pics from very recent posts in the Screen Shot forum as you suggest, with almost 100% success - and I've really enjoyed looking at them!I then went back to mid April 09 with mostly no problems, though some pics do take some time to load - presumably cos of slow PC/big pic/slow broadband. However some pics didn't load at all.The post I was looking at originally was in the FS2004(FS9) forum, from member 3Green on March 4, 2009 so probably the 30 day limit has expired and the pics he included are no longer there - but I when I go back earlier - to around 20 Feb - I can view some of these earlier pics OK.Considering the quality of some of the screen shots, I agree they should be kept a little longer!

Although, any screen shot will be deleted if it does not fit the posting rules even if it's on another storage web site. (not from that site but from view at Avsim)The Avsim posting rules/limits apply to both,, as slow is slow and no matter where the screen shot is stored, it still has to be downloaded by the person viewing it in the forums and oversized files can take a long time now and then. Not everyone has super fast connections. We try to keep the Avsim forums moving right along, so that the entire 65K (and growing) membership around the world can enjoy them at a resonable speed whenever they visit here.
September 23, 200916 yr Author I've just been looking at the Video and Drivers Forum, New Monitor topic, post #9 by RonB49 on Sep11 2009 and find which doesn't produce a pic either. As a final attempt to clear my befuddled brain....Is this because it doesn't fit one of the posting rules, other than the 30 days rule ... ?If it was on another storage (web?) site, would this be obvious as a URL ..? or what?BTW - I did a Google on the jpg filename with no success, so is this pic - and similar cases - now a complete 'goner' ?Regards

If they are stored on another site but linked to here, and got removed, you will not see anything but the text someone typed in the message box.
