FSX won't load aircraft

Featured Replies

FSX loads OK, but when I try to select an aircraft FSX "hangs". I tried deleting the "cfg" file & have FSX rebuild it, but that did on solve the problem. I would appreciate any ideas of what to try next.

What aircraft are you trying to load? FSX default or commercial addon? If commercial, it probably did not install correctly and suggest uninstalling and reinstalling.Best regards,Jim Young

It happens with default aircraft and payware aircraft. I click on "change aircraft", select any airplane-then everything "hangs". Do I need to reinstall all of FSX?

Looks like your system is freezing up when you try to load an aircraft. Settings must be set too high for your system. Depending on your OS, you should also enable the /3GB switch or increaseuserva switch. For more about these switches and fine tuning your FSX, I recommend checking out the following link: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041.Best regards,Jim Young
