Speaking of the M1DG In-N-Out Burger at LAX

You know, I've grabbed so many double-double combo's from that place while heading out to watch the jets land at KLAX...it's so cool. So that scenery's got the northern runways covered. Now how about someone doing the Proud Bird restaurant for the south end of the airport. It's got all those cool vintage aircraft outside of it and Northrop has one of it's aircraft assembly lines almost across the street. The building is about a mile long and we used to head over to the "Bird" for lunch to watch the jets land through the restaurant's huge windows. Just a thought...Markhttp://www.theproudbird.com/

I should probably redo the In-N-Out. It needs to be updated.

I used to go out to the Northrop plant about Twice a year for a Two week stay each time. Have had lunch and dinner at the Proud Bird, nice place, but otherthan it, there is not too much on the Blvd...except of course the runways 200 yrds down :(irish3

Jason, I think the the in-and-out is fine. The scenery is perfect as it stands...it's a reminder that it's there. At least I think that's enough because it reminds me of what it reminds me of which makes it perfect, at least to me :)Hey Irish, that is the point. Now a days were all so used to high tech, (I'm a software engineer by trade), that the fun and easy stuff gets lost. But back in the 60's and 70's, places like the Proud Bird where golden. It added to the adventure that there wasn't anything near it...except maybe a banana yellow DC-9 with a funky blue electronic font, smoking up the place as it went full throttle to takeoff for Guaymas!Markhttp://www.hughesairwest.com/images/Fleet.jpg
