October 28, 200916 yr Hi, yesterday I've noticed that ASX and FSbuild give different values. For example, on a LAX-JFK routes, these are values I got in two wp, given as example (Fsbuild is correctly configurated and loaded after ASX):HIDAT: Fsbuld 280/46, ASX 277/75 (ok for directions, but there are 30 kts of difference)GUP: Fsbuild 337/20, ASX 270/69 (absolutely different)Which is right? Reading from various posts, I've understood that this seems a common problem, but I wasn't able to overcome it. Someone says that Fsbuild is correct, but when flying in FSX is ASX that rules...Thank youMassimiliano Cassol
October 29, 200916 yr Hi Jim, tha altitudes are different (FL350 in Fsbuild, 340 in ASX), but I've tried also with the same altitudes.
October 29, 200916 yr Hi,Where are all these other reports of this? ASX has been out for quite a long time now and I don't recall any recent posts about this here.FSB reads the data file in ASX and ASX uses the same data file.It could be that FSB uses the closest data station, but then ASX uses it's interpolation system which causes the differences. Thanks,
October 30, 200916 yr Yes Jim, I've read for these problems from ASA users (http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=241517), so I thought the problem was the same. Anyway, like in the ASA case, the "problem" seems to be the one you wrote, FSB uses stations, ASX uses interpolation.I'm trying right now and I have significant different values (directions and intensity) in almost every wp.Massimiliano
