Dear FriendsMy Fs2002 and the add ons have functioned perfectly for a long time, but within the latest few weeks it suddenly closes down without any warnings. Sometimes Fs just freeze. But I have not noticed any pattern. And from time to time I do not experience any problems at all. My PC is very new and fast so I think the problem is isolated to FS.Thanks in advance for any help/Jens:-)

JensThings to check for which may have caused your problem:1. Any add-ons recently installed to FS.2. Any hardware changes made to your computer (RAM etc.)3. Any updated drivers (especially for video card).For example, a gauge in a particular panel or scenery area pulled from the HD could suddenly cause problems which don't occur if you fly a different scenery area or panel.If all else fails, I'm afraid you might have to uninstall and then reinstall FS, but that should be a last resort.Good luck.Toni.

One of the more probable causes might be also a scenery problem. Make sure You have no native FS2000 scenery installed, at least not near any addon FS2K2 scenery. Conflicting layers/excludes/flattens may flatten Your Sim down to windows.And I agree to Toni, You might also have a panel or aircraft installed lately that could in some weird coincidence cause a conflict.To resolve, select a "stock" FS2K2 aircraft/panel/sound, switch off all addon scenery and then go and try each addon seperatly.ReadUTorsten

I happend to have the same thing (sudden freeze of FS2002) for the first time.To track it down: I only installed the Commander 680VC in the last 2-3 weeks. Did you maybe also install this aircraft?Since then I have also a strange texture effect: On runways the grass texture flickers below the aircraft (not only the 680VC). It's only visible without panel (key "W").RegardsWalter

what about active camera? I did a flight and it frozen 3 times once crossing JFK at FL310. The only thing new was active camera the newest version. I took the DLL out and redid the flight no porblem.Kilstorm
