November 9, 200916 yr Hi,first of all, i'm a complete newbie to the FSX SDK. i have however managed to do most of the things I wanted. basically what i was looking for was to get a reference of glideslope error as well as the heading error when you are on approach. now, this is working fine in airports when i tune ILS. using the variables "NAV GLIDE SLOPE ERROR:1" and "NAV RADIAL ERROR:1" gives me exactly what i'm looking for.but, is there something similar I can use for carrier operations in FSXA? I installed the FSXA SDK but I can't seem to find any variables that could give me an indication of the state of the meatball and how far right/left to the landing deck I actually am. (I guess this is because carriers do not use ILS?) any idea if there is any data to give me what i need?thanks!!Matt
November 16, 200916 yr The carriers in FSXA do not have any localizer or glideslope information. It is all visual. I think the meatball itself is a coded bgl which would make it very difficult to get that information. I could be wrong.
