December 14, 200916 yr Hi,I am thinking of upgrading my 32 bit Vista OS to a 64 bit Win7 Pro. But what I want to do is to start all the way from the beginning on the same system with Win7. I mean like entering the user name, password etc. all over again to start with a fresh computer. So how do I do this? I have a laptop with two hard drives. Should I format the hard drives, remove Vista and then install Win7 via CD boot and start all over again or is the procedure different?Cheers,Carvelle5000

It's called a clean install. For all the options in installing Windows 7 and step-by-step instructions, I highly recommend the following link: http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/. Paul has every possible scenario including what you want to do.Best regards,Jim
